Session 7: brief recap and the take The PCs struck out in many new directions. Attempting to reach the white jungle, they explored the chasm where the party long ago parlayed with the guildless. The guildless appear to have withdrawn and cut the bridge. The party discovered a new are for exploration to the south. Descending into the chasm through a narrow portion, they found that it went down about 200' before they reached a sloping earthen floor. This emptied ultimately into a large circular hole. Probing revealed that the hole contained a large black web-like structure, composed of thick, shiny black filaments. They melted when they came into contact with fire, but when jostled sent out purple pulses. While the party was clearing a hole for passage, a bulbous entity climbed onto the far side of the web. Playing the web like an instrument, it called forth shadow beings that pursued the PCs. Although of insubstantial substance, they came in large numbers and their weapons cut like
