Adriana informs you that your flasks are filled with the residue of Oneiric Pudding. Apparently some of your group had brought her a sample previously. She informs you that after withholding a portion for her own researches, she will be able to transform the pudding into an Elixir of Penumbral Transmigration. The imbiber of the Elixir falls into a slumber, his dream consciousness enfolding his sleeping body in a cyst attached to a "shimmering priaduct". This (tube?)will transport him to a location in Wishery that he has already visited, provided that he brings this memory to mind as he consumes the Elixir. The cyst at the exit point will remain in place for "around six hours" before dissolving, and may be used to transport its creator and his possessions back to the waking world. The distillation process is expensive, and covering her materials alone will cost you 150 gp per dose. She has enough material in your portion of the residue to brew four doses. If you get her more pudding, she can make you more doses.

When presented with the cases and their alarming occupants, the pink bow she is fastening in her hair falls to the ground and her complexion pales. (For the very first time, you have the sense that she feels out her league.) She acknowledges that the entities they contain appear to be quite useful in a violent sort of way, and agrees to buy them from you 600 gp total.

She confirms that the polearm is not magical. It does the damage of a polearm, but when being cranked ignores any armor less powerful than chain. Let me know if you accept her offer of purchase or wish her to brew the potions. Eric Boyd Travis Miller Chris P.

  1. Dozar will take her up on that. What's the cost and time for one of our wizards to transcribe that? It's one of the best first level spells for puzzles and traps and letting you go "OK, the servant just opens the door while we stand well clear and off-axis" instead of spending ten minutes being careful.

  2. +Eric Boyd Sorry, looking at my own rules, that quote was incorrect. It should take her about a week, and will cost you 700gp (double what it costs her). She also insinuates that the binding of minor Sandestins is common knowledge among all minimally competent wizards, and that she would not be willing to share the more refined sort of knowledge. The cost to transcribe a first level spell from the scroll to a book is 2d6 days (minus Gils' intelligence modifier) x 50gp. If you want her to scribe the scroll and make the potion, you should inform her which you want her to do first.

At this, Dozar smiles ruefully. "We go through the Door with the wizard we have---not the wizard we might want or wish to have at a later time." I presume we'd like the scroll first; the potions will be of most value once the Door closes.
