I finished up my session report from the other night, I made sure Clovis didn't hog too much of the glory, even though he got most of the POV. Let me know how mediocre my mediocre poetry is.

Downtime Thread & NO GAME this week. Resuming 9/27. In the warmth, before the fire, in Zalvorex's cozy sitting room, Zalvorex welcomes you back. Vaz pours a mellow, mauve whisky that washes away your weariness. And the two of them settle down to eagerly hear your report. They ask you about in detail about the landscape of the valley and the encounters you had. They are very curious to hear the current state of the ship. They question you in detail about each of your encounters. They seem disturbed when you recount the encounter with the Eigolphins. And apologize that you had to relive their trauma "in most violent fashion". They are pleased to receive what you have given them, pocketing the detachable globe and smiling broadly when you hand over the humidors of hulbaba. They encourage you to return for the still more lucrative materials in the lower deck. They ask you casually if you took anything else from the vessel. Dennis finds that the experience he had in the c

Session 74-76: Recap and the Take

Session 74-76: Recap and the Take This session took the party into the Valley of the Flowers, the crash site of the witch Zalvorex’s vessel, The Parapraxis. The “imago core” (the power source) of the vessel draws from the “underpsyche” (the unconscious) of the crew, serving as a storehouse of their fears, traumas, forgotten memories, and repressed urges to power various aspects of the ship’s operations. The core was damaged in the crash and has been leaking “xenosic radiation” that has shaped the valley into a strange, almost living, environment crafted from Zalvorex’s unconscious. It is a tiny world full of their nightmares, wishes, traumas, and desires. And, as it turned out, it was quick to absorb and weaponize he unspoken fears of the intruders. Before setting out, Zalvorex provided them as well with a list of goods to retrieve from the Parapraxis and strict instructions to “leave everything else just where it is”. The party made its way into the surreal environment of the valley,

Oh yeah, guys, check this out.

Oh yeah, guys, check this out. If things hadn't gotten hectic I would have shared this with you on the hangout. It's a visual of the cover of the first issue of my new zine. Thanks to Matt Hildebrand's layout skills and Huargo's amazing illustration, we now have a cover. It's gonna be sick. For those who have lived through it, this issue is mostly "The Ruins of the Inquisitor's Theater" the first dungeon in the dreamlands on the other side of Ultan's door. It has an amazing map and illustrations by Gus L! I'll pimp this around G+ tomorrow morning, but here it is for you now.

A dense spherical growth of the jungle lattice occupies most of this hex. Within the sphere an enticing, rolling valley can be glimpsed, blanketed in white flowers. It is the crash site of the Parapraxis. The witch Zalvorex once navigated this fine vessel through the treacherous tides of the Oeneiric Sea that connects the dreamworlds, but its once gleaming hull is now cracked, its glorious sail in ruins. The imago core of the vessel's damaged engine is leaking potent nightmares that inhabit the shifting valley landscape. The sphere of jungle lattice that encases the bewitched valley is in fact a magical barrier that Zalvorex erected long ago to keep the nightmares from spilling into the jungle and to protect the vessel from his rival, Bazikop, demonic Prince of the South Wind. The Imago Core draws its power from the underpsyche of the crew, absorbing their memories and traumas, their fears and libidinal desires, and above all their dreams to power the vessel. Zalvorex lived long wi
