The Captive

As you emerge into Rastingdrung, his eyes roll in wonder and terror. He is weak and trembling after his ordeal and needs to recover his strength. He covers his naked face in shame when he is in your presence, and seems to anticipate that you will sacrifice him or subject his body to untold horrors at any moment. Your protestations to the contrary, no matter how sincere, are met with sarcastic incredulity. His name is Ulantanu, and he identifies himself as an "Apprentice Flayer". What are going to do with your captive from beyond the veil of sleep?

    Questions I'll ask if things go well: "Who are the active guilds in Zyan?" For each guild, "what is their profession, who leads them, how powerful is the guild, what does their mask look like?" "Beyond the Inquisitors, are there any other inactive guilds?" "Who are the Six Unrelenting Archons? Where did they come from? Where do they dwell?"

    Chris P. He grants the reality of your miracles. He says only, "All know that the will of the Unrelenting Archons is ever changing; all that remains is their ceaseless ambition to prevail in the intricate game they play. Perhaps you too have a role to play in their present schemes."  "I am only an Apprentice Flayer," he adds bitterly, "it is not given to me to speculate about the greater mysteries."

    Eric Boyd thanks for the heads up. Anyone can post other questions that they intend to ask here. Not that you can't ask other things as they come up. But I'll be prepared to say something about whatever you mention here.

The Riches of Bazekop

Over the last five sessions, our party of daring dreamers plummeted in the aerie depths of the lowest level of the White Jungle on the back of a fleet of giant war crows, violent and wild, with a phalanx of storm rider paladins. Their mission was to loot the invisible tower of Bazekop, Prince of the South Wind. In all honesty, my imagination had begun to wear a bit thin and algorithms repeated themselves, over the course of these sessions. So, I’d prefer to be forward looking here. Campaign News for 5/9/2019

Two weeks pass since you returned from Bazekop's tower with your epic haul. It takes a long time for the items you brought through to be identified, appraised, and for the payouts to the party. In the meantime, the party has been scouting real estate locations, doing research, and pursuing other long term downtime goals. During this time, the party learns of several rumors and events: Since the party's trips to the dreamlands are a state secret, none know the true source of the Chatelaine's newfound wealth and splendor. Wild rumors circulate about the Storm-Riders having won a legendary haul for her. Some say they hunted and slew an ancient dragon that roosted about the shattered isles. Others say that the Storm-Riders ventured in secret through the door in the locked down section of Carver's Quarter around Ultan's Old Print Shop and bring back the riches of the dreamlands.
